About Victoria, British Columbia, Canada

Victoria is located on the southern most tip of Vancouver Island on the beautiful West Coast of Canada. Offering so much for all visitors during every season, we’ll do our best to cover it all but we encourage you to book your trip today and experience it for yourself.  See a map here...

Are you visiting from outside of Canada? Passport & VISA information here...

Visit the Victoria, B.C. tourism board’s website
for the most current and up to date information on upcoming events, general questions, Free visitor maps, and vacation guides and more. The board’s office is located just a short walk from the Leiser Building were you will be staying. We also have a variety of information brochures, maps, and vacation guides available in the units.

In our opinion...The top 10 things to see, visit, and do:

  1. Take a horse drawn carriage ride around the inner harbour
  2. Spend the day at Butchart Gardens and take in the evening fireworks display (fireworks only run July to August - see Butchart's website)
  3. Visit the Provincial Museum and walk the inner harbour...all within a 5 min walk from where you are staying
  4. Take a whale watching tour
  5. Go kayaking, take a tour or just rent kayaks and explore (Brentwood Bay is great)
  6. Go Sailing, boating or even fishing - just enjoy the magnificent Pacific Ocean
  7. Golf at one of the many fabulous courses in Victoria and on the Island
  8. Visit the petting zoo in beautiful Beacon Hill park
  9. Eat, drink and relax at one of the many fine restaurants in the inner harbour (Ferris' Oyster Bar & Grill at 536 Yates Street - just a few doors down from where you are staying, is great!)
  10. Take a walk along the ocean and enjoy the views

For more information on any of the above, see our links page OR read our travel tips blog articles - including recommended itineraries for couples and families.

Climate & Seasons:

Victoria boasts the mildest climate in Canada. Greater Victoria is one of Canada’s driest areas, with an average snowfall of only 25 centimetres (9.75 inches) and an average rainfall of 592 millimetres (23 inches), less than recorded precipitation in Vancouver, BC or Seattle, Washington. Summers are pleasantly warm, but never too hot and the winters are mild.
